I'll probably think it's hilarious in like a week, and ngl the essay guy was a fucking blessing, but I'm not sure I can ever face any of the people who answered.
you just get together and sit in a circle and share whatever's going on with you. the thing is there's common ground 'cause they're for specific stuff like, losing a spouse or living with disability or, in our case, dealing with sex city without our significant other.
so everyone else in the group Gets It, and we can feel like we're not dealing with it on our own. and then if someone's like "oh no, i'm catching feelings for my crush but i feel so guilty bc i'm still in love with my boyfriend back home" people can be like "that's rough, and feeling bad is understandable, but we're all trapped in an emotionally charged environment, so it makes sense to have feelings for the people helping you through it" and then you still feel guilty but at least you know it's happening to other people too, and it's super not our fault we're trapped here.
[ It sounds a little bit like other people giving him permission to do something that they all know is bad, but Rowan doesn't type that because he's not an idiot. ]
that sounds ok and if you're serious about it I'd show up but I think for right now I'm going to go back to actively not thinking about it
